Hot Toys Watchmen Silk Spectre II from Sideshow Collectibles

One of the coolest new items on show from Sideshow Collectibles at SDCC this year was the brand new Hot Toys Masterpiece Series figure of Silk Spectre II from Zack Snyder's WATCHMEN movie.

The second incarnation of the character is brought to figure form with this incredible likeness of actress Malin Akerman in the trademark black and yellow outfit. Just look at that facial sculpt. Beautiful work.

The Hot Toys Silk Spectre Masterpiece series 12 inch figure has almost 30 points of articulation as well as a full replica of the movie costume along with her trench coat, implant hair, interchangeable hands and a display stand.

The Hot Toys range has always been fantastic, but this is something else. Well done, guys. The figure is due to be available at the end of the year.

Thor Vs Loki Diorama by Sideshow Collectibles

The exemplary range of comics related merchandise from Sideshow Collectibles continues to grow with this spectacular Thor VS Loki Diorama, capturing the thunder god in all of his glory, facing off against the villainous Loki! The Thor VS Loki Diorama is hand numbered and supplied in the standard strong packaging. the piece stands 17 inches tall at its highest point. Marvel Comics’ X23 Comiquette Maquette from Sideshow Collectibles

X-23 has proven to be one of the most popular characters Marvel have come up with in years. A young, female version of Wolverine, featuring her own Adamantium claws and ready wit, X-23 has been a hit in pretty much every title she has appeared in. Now, Sideshow are offering this incredible Maquette of the lady herself as she appeared in the NYX series, looking fantastic thanks to the usual high quality sculpt and paint job. Due to be released in the 3rd quarter of 2009, this piece will be of an as-yet unannounced limited edition. The maquette will stand 18 inches high and will be cast in polystone. While the facial expression the statue has does look a little too cheeky for the rather angry X-23 character, it does add personality to what is an otherwise standard posed piece.
